Bio
My name is Alende Amisi, originally from the motherland of Africa, from a young age life displayed events that were too unbearable for me to speak about, at a later time in my life I was stuck in a bubble I could barely overcome, suicidal thoughts overwhelming atmosphere I saw no value in myself, then a pen to paper reached out to me, I wrote my way out of that environment through poetry, the beauty of life is expressing suppressed emotions through written words, a language which anyone can understand, because it comes from within thus came "language of the soul."
Alende’s Poem
A message to those who faced the world naked in their secrets but sadly,
were welcomed with smirked faces behind camera flashes
May society run with commitment to give the troubled a reason to walk still
May it also cater the tenderness to illustrate a painting of hope on earth still
A message to my fellow boys and men
Confuse not your strength for ego
Take pride in the hands around you that withhold you from walking alone
We see the end of the world in one day yet pretend that day never happened
Instead, masquerade our sadness with Oscar worthy smiles.
Condolences to all those who’ve lost a loved one to Suicide
You’re not alone, speak out & we’ll listen. There’s hope still.
